PLANTETHICS is an ethical, sustainable, vegan brand by Budapest-based designer Barbara Denes, creating elegant, minimalist, nature inspired jewelry, fashion and home accessories for the conscious customer. All pieces are organically made by hand of responsibly sourced and recycled precious or non-precious metal , wood, glass and real plants adding a sophisticated touch to your outfit or home.

Bioethics has a sector called 'plant ethics', which does constant research on the relationship between plants and humans. How are we connected? How can we help each other? Being true to our name PLANTETHICS brings plants and humans closer.

ETHICAL . CONSCIOUS . HANDMADE . SUSTAINABLE
All our materials are ethically sourced and our products are made by happy hands. We use recycled or fair trade precious metal for all custom made jewelry and our latest WANDERWOMAN collection.

REWOOD collection: We collect fallen branches and twigs after heavy storms and pruning works to make wonderful fashion and home accessories for you. We cut, drill, polish, varnish, and hand paint all pieces. We make studs, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, brooches, keychains, tea light holders, plant holders, vessels, wall decoration and wall hangers. Every piece is unique, I can almost hear the noises of the woods whenever I look at these reclaimed items.

FOREST collection: We collect tiny leaves and flowers in the woods during our hikes to make necklaces, earrings, bracelets and to make nature part of your life too. We're always aware of leaving enough leaves and flowers to help the growth and propagation of the plants. Every piece is handmade with Tiffany stained glass technique.

WANDERWOMAN collection: With this new sustainable luxury line we would like to encourage everyone, to take the next step to a slower life, WANDERing in nature as much as possible while taking care of Mother Earth. You will find delicate rings, necklaces, earrings and brooches made of fair trade and recycled precious metal inspired by the little treasures of nature we meet during our adventures around the Globe.

VEGANWEAR collection: You can find here beautiful, minimalist, vegan bags, shirts and accessories supporting your sustainable look and zerowaste life. We’ve already stocked some Pinatex – vegan pinaple textile used as ’vegan leather’ – too, so get ready for more special items.

​

TERRA collection: We make mini terrarium necklaces with real Tillandsia plants. All pieces combine minimal design, traditional glass works and the love of real plants. The mini terrariums are handmade with Tiffany stained glass technique. Being conscious at all steps of creation the little Tillandsia plants are raised at a local farm close to Budapest. When you don’t wear the necklace, it can be a home decoration element.

PLAY PLANTS collection: We plant little succulents and cacti in antique porcelain coffee and tea cups and toy animals to help children connect with nature in the early years. Succulents and cacti are easy to care and stay alive for years. The old cups can be reused again and we can have a nice coffee or tea later.

​

ZUZMO collection: Lichen and glass beads in tiny bottles finished as wild and free necklaces. Lichen can be released from the bottles in the Winter months. It’s magical!

EARTH collection: A plant based cooperation with Hungarian ceramic artists. We get you closer to another natural, sustainable material: clay. We design calm pastel colored planters, cups, bowls and Tillandsia plates. Every piece is one of a kind, hand built and hand painted. Love the artistic representation of plants as illustrations on the ceramics while the cups, bowls, plates can be used as planters or as tableware in a zerowaste home.
