This experiment provides us the combination of acetyl salicylic acid and benzoic acid. This way we can wear the icy and crispy texture of benzoic acid while there is a hint of smooth snow-ish feeling thanks to the acetyl salicylic.
Interestingly, in 1875, Salkowski showed that benzoic acid was fungicidal, and from then on it was increasingly widely used as a preservative. It was also used in bactericidal cleaning products. This jewel is in beautiful harmony with magnesium sulphate. It has a similar texture, with an icy and crispy feel to its pattern.
In nature, it is produced during the metabolism of the plant hormone salicin. Salicylic acid is also found in the volatile oil of the creeping grouse berry in the form of methyl salicylate. The antipyretic properties of willow bark have been known since ancient times. From ALCHEMY collection this piece has the most graphical appearance as if it was hand-drawn with a needle thin pen.
